FROM MY Students

“There are very few people who can translate what they comprehend on a deep level into something tailored for every person they teach. I honestly don’t know if I’ve learned as much from any teacher in a school year as I did from Chris when he tutored me, and about more than just school—he genuinely believes in his students and encourages them to reach new heights in and outside of the classroom. I am unbelievably grateful to have been able to learn from him.” Sophia | ACT & Calculus | Harvard University

“Chris is an amazing tutor. He has an uncanny ability to tailor his explanations of difficult concepts to accomodate each individual and their learning style.” Jordan | Calculus BC | Elon University

“Working with Chris was not only incredibly beneficial, but it was enjoyable. Anyone who wants to become more proficiant in a subject should work with him.” Dewey | Chemistry

“Chris was both unbelievably supportive and engaging: I would recommend him to everyone. Not only is he beyond helpful academically, but he is also genuinely kind, interested, patient, and invested in his students’ success. Chris helped me immensely this year, and he made the entire process enjoyable at the same time.”

Ally | Pre-Calculus & Chemistry

“Chris is undoubtedly one of the best tutors I have ever worked with. He is patient, accessible, kind, and extremely thoughtful. He personalized his instruction to my learning style and never gave up on teaching me a concept until I was confident I had mastered it. Not only was he an excellent teacher, but he also worked hard to make his office a comfortable and safe learning environment. I will miss working with him.” Zeni | Calculus | Cornell University

“I got my MCAT score back and I’m very excited to say I got a 35! Thank for the materials, patience, positivity, and time.” Lauren | MCAT | Harvard Medical School

MY Philosophy

Success in academics and test preperation is certainly about content knowledge and strategy, but it also has a tremendous amount to do with how well you know (and get along with) your brain. You no doubt have some well-developed skill sets and a few that could use some work. And by the time you’ve made it to high school, you probably have a love-hate relationship with a subject or two.

Understanding how your brain works to store and recall information (and how it responds to stress along the way) is vital for successful adventures in academics and life in general. But gaining that understanding requires patience. You are going to trip, and you are going to make mistakes. But so long as you are driven, honest, and just a tiny bit reflective, you’re going to learn. Sound interesting?
